Made by hand

Broad finger impressions and slight asymmetry. The inside stays smooth.

Air release

With no vent, turn the cave underwater until trapped air escapes, then place it on the substrate. The optional 3 mm passage slopes towards the door to reduce direct overhead light; it is not lightproof.

Start with a 20 mm door, then adjust for your female fish. Breeders favour a small entrance she can comfortably pass through; species and individuals differ. Breeder guidance

Material, finish and fit are confirmed before printing. Print walls solid and release trapped air before placement; a printed sample must be checked submerged.
